Write for us
Clear Rugby Review welcomes considered pitches that help readers understand rugby’s laws, skills, positions, tactics or traditions. We value clear explanations, a strong angle and respect for the game’s different forms.
What makes a good pitch
Propose one focused idea and explain what a reader will understand by the end. A useful pitch might clarify a recurring match situation, unpack a role, compare two ways of approaching a phase or explore how a rugby custom took shape. Keep the scope manageable and tell us why the subject merits a closer look.
A clear, grounded approach
We look for writing that explains specialist terms, separates established rules from tactical interpretation and makes relevant context visible. Original explanations are welcome; unsupported claims, copied work and pitches that depend on access we cannot verify are not a fit.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send your idea, a short outline and a brief note about your relevant experience or perspective. Please do not send a full draft unless requested. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and any terms should be agreed before commissioned work begins.
Rugby rewards a closer look
The score tells you what happened; the details help explain how. We make the game’s language easier to follow without sanding off its complexity.
